How much does a RIB cost? Prices of boats, outboards and trailers
A RIB can cost a little over ten thousand złoty or half a million — it all depends on what you need it for. Below we break the price down into parts: the boat itself, the outboard, installation, the trailer and running costs. All amounts come from the current GRAND price list and include VAT.
What the price of a RIB depends on
- Length and number of people — from 2.75 m for 3 people to 10 m for more than ten.
- Tube material — PVC is cheaper, Hypalon costs more but lasts longer.
- Deck version — Open (free deck, tiller steering), Sport (console) or Deluxe (console and seats).
- Outboard — in small RIBs it is often half the price of the package.
- Equipment — tube and hull colours, upholstery, electronics, T-top, audio.

How much does an outboard for a RIB cost
The outboard is chosen to match the model’s recommended power — you will find it on each boat’s page. Example prices of Yamaha outboards:
- 2.5 HP — 4 100 zł (S275 tender)
- 6 HP — 6 900 zł
- 9.9 HP — 12 500 zł (the most powerful outboard you can use in Poland without a licence)
- 20 HP — 17 500 zł, 25 HP — 22 500 zł
- 40 HP — 26 200 zł
- 70 HP — 40 500 zł
- 100 HP — 51 000 zł
We fit tiller outboards within the price of the outboard. An outboard steered from a console needs a rigging kit (control box, cables, gauge) — its price, usually about 2,700–7,200 zł, includes fitting the outboard.
Example packages: boat + outboard
- S275 + Yamaha 2.5 HP — 16 500 zł. A light yacht tender or a lake boat.
- S330 + Yamaha 9.9 HP — 27 665 zł. A RIB for 4 people that needs no licence.
- S470 N + Yamaha 25 HP — 48 965 zł. A family RIB for 8 people.
- G380 + Yamaha 25 HP — 68 314 zł + rigging kit. A premium RIB with a console.

Trailer
A RIB up to 4.9 m needs only a single-axle boat trailer — about 5,100 zł. Boats of 5.2–5.9 m need a larger single-axle trailer (about 11,600 zł), and boats from 6 m a twin-axle braked trailer (from about 12,300 zł up to 27,200 zł for boats of 8.5–9.5 m).
Costs that are easy to forget
- Motorboat licence (patent motorowodny) — not needed in Poland for an outboard up to 10 kW (about 13.6 HP). With a more powerful outboard, add the cost of a course and exam. More: licence-free boats.
- Registration — not required for boats up to 7.5 m with an outboard up to 15 kW (about 20 HP). Larger boats and more powerful outboards must be registered.
- Insurance — usually voluntary for a leisure boat but recommended; many marinas require third-party liability insurance.
- Outboard service — an annual service recommended by Yamaha, also needed to keep the 3 + 2-year warranty.
- Marina berth or garage — small RIBs can be stored on the trailer, larger boats usually stay in a marina.
- Fuel — depends on the outboard’s power and your driving style.
How to pay less
- Boats from stock are handed over straight away — no waiting 12–16 weeks for a boat built to order.
- Leasing of the boat, outboard and trailer can be arranged online, with the PDF offer from the configurator attached to the application.
- Choose the power wisely — an outboard from the middle of the recommended range is usually enough and is cheaper to buy and run.
