RIB yacht tenders
A tender is a small boat carried on a yacht or towed behind it, used to reach the shore while the yacht lies at anchor or on a buoy. Weight and size matter most: it must fit on deck or on the swim platform and launch easily.

How do I choose a tender for my yacht?
Check the length and load capacity of your swim platform or davits and the space on deck. Yachts up to 12 m usually carry a 2.75–3 m tender with a 5–10 hp engine. Larger yachts take 3.3–3.6 m models, which plane with several people on a 15–25 hp engine.
Tiller or console?
A tiller tender is the lightest and simplest to handle. A console adds comfort and a dry ride, but also weight. Choose it when the tender will also be used on its own, not just to reach the shore.
Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the right boat size?
First check the maximum size and load capacity of the space on your yacht, then the number of people. You will find each model's weight in its specifications. Full answer →
Does a tender have to be registered?
No, if it is up to 7.5 m long with an engine of up to 15 kW (about 20 hp). Registration is then voluntary. Full answer →
Do I need a licence for a tender?
