Which engine for an inflatable boat?

With an engine up to 10 kW (9.9 hp) you can go without a licence — a good choice for 2.75–3.3 m boats. 3.3–3.7 m boats with 4–5 people run best with 15–30 hp, and 4.2–4.7 m models fully loaded need 40–70 hp. The recommended and maximum power of each model is on its page.

What does the price include?

The Yamaha engine is priced separately according to the price list; for tiller engines the price includes fitting. An engine steered from the console needs an installation kit (control box, cables, gauge) — the kit price includes fitting the engine. Optionally add an immobiliser, a stainless steel propeller and a trailer. Engines carry the Yamaha 3 + 2 year warranty.

Do I need a licence for an inflatable boat with an engine?
