Towing a water-skier, a wakeboarder or an inflatable banana needs a boat that gets on the plane quickly with several people aboard and has power in reserve. A 5–7.5 m RIB with 70 hp or more does it with ease, and the wide cockpit fits the spotter, the gear and the passengers.

How much power for water-skiing and wakeboarding?
Towing a water-skier takes at least 25 hp, but with an adult rider and several people on board 100 hp or more is more comfortable. The G500 with 70–115 hp is enough for learning and towables. The G580–G750 and D600 with 100–250 hp pull wakeboarders and skiers even when fully loaded.
Towing equipment
