GRAND D950 Dive

The GRAND DRIVE LINE D950 DRIVE is a professional, fast offshore RIB built by GRAND Marine in Ukraine. Designed for maximum performance and versatility, it is an ideal choice for offshore trips and commercial operations. Its large, configurable deck suits many uses, from carrying cargo and passengers to running diving or fishing expeditions.

The GRAND Drive Line D950D is 9.54 metres long and takes one or two outboards with a combined output of up to 700 hp, giving very high speeds and excellent manoeuvrability. It carries up to 14 people or 2,000 kg of cargo, making it an excellent choice for commercial use. This professional offshore boat has a high-performance twin-step, very deep-V hull of durable fibreglass for excellent handling, stability in waves and durability.

The “High-Step-Hull” reduces the contact with the water by running on air pockets behind the steps, which means higher speed and lower fuel consumption. HYPALON inflatable sides give extra stability, buoyancy, load capacity and safety on the water. The seven-chamber “DART Hull” tube, tapering from stern to bow, increases usable space in the bow of the cockpit, raises the freeboard and reduces spray.

The GRAND D950 is a centre-console RIB with integrated storage for boat and sports gear: an anchor locker, a bow compartment and four aft compartments. The helm console has a tall windscreen for excellent protection from wind and spray, sturdy grab handles and a storage locker. The dashboard can take advanced navigation equipment, including two flush-mounted multifunction displays of up to 17 inches, a VHF radio and much more. Good visibility lets the crew keep an eye on passengers and cargo. The pilot and navigator drive from adjustable sports seats with side support, or from high-quality Ullman Biscaya seats with a progressive suspension system that prevents injuries when crossing big waves at speed.

The open deck offers unlimited layout possibilities. Custom versions can be configured as a cargo boat (no seats) or a cargo-and-passenger boat (number of seats agreed individually). Most often, however, the GRAND D950 is used as a RIB water taxi or a tour boat carrying passengers. Passengers sit on jockey seats with built-in dry storage for personal belongings, up to six pairs (12 seats). Each passenger has a backrest with a handle for the passenger behind and a separate safety grab handle for the passenger in front. The boat has luxurious seats with soft cushions in UV- and water-resistant Silvertex marine fabric.

Standard equipment includes an integrated fuel system (2 × 300 l) under the deck in the centre of the boat for ideal weight distribution; stainless steel cup holders on the helm console; and integrated towing and lifting eyes. A wide range of factory options and accessories is also available, for example two fibreglass aft platforms with a grab rail and a retractable stainless steel ladder for getting out of the water, a mast for towing and/or mounting navigation lights, antennas and radar, and a T-top for sun protection and maximum comfort during operations.

• Rescue boat — for rescue operations and emergency assistance on the water, including saving people, evacuating disaster areas, giving first aid, towing damaged boats or life rafts and much more.
